Beauty Salon Manager

Our salon managers are the people who ensure our guests glow, our salons grow and our team members stay happy and motivated. You’ll plan, organise and lead the operation of the salon – ensuring you reach sales and profit targets while upholding our glittering standards of excellence.

• Building a brilliant working relationship with your regional manager and keeping them in the loop at all times.

You’ll also encourage strong bonds within your salon team, creating a culture of respect, professionalism and care.

• Making sure guests get the very best service and care every time – and personally dealing with any guest concerns if they arise, working closely with your regional manager.

• Managing and supporting your salon team – including having regular team meetings, annual appraisals, quarterly review meetings and handling any performance or conduct issues effectively.

• Ensuring all our financial processes run smoothly – including updating the weekly business planner and weekly sales analysis; banking; dealing with specialist invoices; and reporting on cash up and petty cash.

• Keeping track of our stock – including stock takes, stock transfers and maintaining stock levels.

• Dealing with purchase orders requests for toolkits

• Looking after our salon equipment to ensure it is health and safety compliant.

• Ensuring you and your team keep salon standards high in all aspects of services, health, hygiene and safety – helping to deliver shining standards of excellence in all areas.

• Following all our policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Operations Manual, and ensuring your team understand and follow these too.

• Organising your team rotas to ensure there is cover for the salon at all times – including holidays, late nights and Sundays.

• Keeping up to date with new developments in the beauty world, including any new products and techniques that are relevant to the salon. You’ll be passionate about sharing these at team meetings and discuss any ideas for sales development with your regional manager.

• Ensuring that team members run the reception smoothly – including following the appointment/checking in system correctly.

• Leading on the recruitment of new team members, and ensuring their retention within the budgeted payroll percentage (with agreement from your regional manager).

• Training team members to support their development, keep them motivated, and improve their sales. This training could include building repeat clientele and improving guest relations

2-3 years management experience

• Knowledge and qualification in beauty

• Excellent numerical skills

• Experience of working with performance management and targets (managing KPIs)

• Good understanding of the financial side of the business

• Excellent guest service skills

• The ability to plan and organise effectively in order to meet deadlines and utilise resources
